We'll be laying down 2 extended sets of solid classics & giving some new flavours a run. It's free and a great vibe at the Mac, so come on down and have a beer'n'boogie.
// ENTROPIC @ THE GOLDEN SHEAF This Thursday Night

// ENTROPIC PERFORMING AT HIGH&DRY FESTIVAL
Three full days of arts, music, camping and ridiculous fun in the most magical setting of Camp Wollimi, just two hours North of Sydney.
Spend the final weekend in November relaxing on the sandy riverbank by day and partying to some of Australia's finest independent musicians by night - what's more, High&Dry is Sydney's only BYO festival.
Expect a full-fleshed arts program too; interactive installation, twisted sculpture and cutting edge theatre.
High&Dry is not for profit, independent, and is funded one hundred per cent by its participants. That means there is no corporate or government sponsorship of any sort; every single dollar comes from the hard-earned pockets of the very same people grooving to the tunes, splashing in the river and soaking up the sunshine next to you.
// ENTROPIC SUPPORTING CAMILLE (FRANCE) AT BECKS BAR SYDNEY FESTIVAL
The music of French vocal sensation Camille is unapologetically experimental yet completely accessible. Avant-garde more in delivery than sound, both her recorded compositions and powerful live performances explore the human voice and body in all their infinite music-making possibilities.
A capella, beat-boxing, sighs, vocal interpretations of real instruments and beat sequencers, animal noises, body percussion, even hiccups combine with intelligent lyrics, French chanson storytelling and 60s folk and 70s soul influences to produce Camille’s truly original sound.
She’s joined by freeform jazz-electronic band Entropic and DJs Bentley, Trevor Parkee and James Locksmith.

ENTROPIC COLLABORATE FOR UNDERBELLY
Entropic will we performing as part of the Underbelly Festival, to be held in the newly completed state of the art venue; Carriageworks, in Redfern. We wil be collaborating with director/fim maker Dan Jameison to workshop a performance based on the theme of 'Creative Spaces in Sydney'. This performance will attempt to combine film, photography, acoustic and electronic sound into an improvised retrospective of the venues that have been a significant part of our musical journey. But hey, that's just us, there are over a hunderd artists working and performing at Carriageworks as part of the festival including Meem, Aural Adventures, Miss Death & Jay Katz and Token WQord.
Underbelly will bring a selection of Sydney’s most talented artists together for a ten day laboratory. A giant collaboration and cross-pollination culminating in a one day festival showcasing the results. The public will be invited inside the creaking hallways of the artists' mind as the mechanisms of creation are exposed.
A CITY OF SHADOWS AND ICE
'A City of Shadows and Ice' is an initiative of the Shopfront Theatre, a contemporary arts centre in Carlton NSW, offering performing arts training and mentorship for young and emerging artsits up to 25 years. Entropic will be providing a live soundtrack to the performances (16 -19 of August) which involve a moving (and melting) set constructed from ice, and incorporating music, poetry, free running (le parkour) and graphic novel elements. There are many workshops and events leading up to the final performances so check out the shopfront website for more details.
Using a moving set of ice, an epic myth, contemporary graphic novels, the art of free running and a live electro-beat
soundtrack, A City of Shadows and Ice is an installation performance event about the walls we build,
the worlds we create and how we can see others for who they really are.

Firstly, a huge shout out and big ups to all the crew that came to our
launch shows
around the country. Brisbane was fantastic, Melbourne rocks, Adelaide
we love you!
We've had a ball driving across this vast country, feeling a lot of love
from the crowds, diggin' playing and falling
into some funny mishaps along the way....
The last leg of our tour turned out to be a rock'n'roll classic... we
set off from
Adelaide early sunday morning. The van pointed at Sydney and everything
going well.
Cam's in the back entertaining us all with some tunes on the trusty ol'
touring axe,
the clouds rolling along over the endless hay plains....
19 hours later we are stumble into sydney and at 6am the van breaks down
5km shy of home... we couldn't
believe it.
To top it off it started to rain, so there we tired as hell and soaking
wet loading our gear into taxi's trying to get home... what a saga...
thankfully, every bit of this cinematic gold
has gone live to tape, doctumented in high definition DV by our very own
DeepChild, dub technician (and head
librarian of the booty film archives and photo-journalist extrordinaire).
